Há cinco jogos sem vencer no Campeonato Brasileiro, o Corinthians perdeu a vaga no grupo dos quatro primeiros colocados para o São Paulo, no último fim de semana, e agora, pela primeira vez nas últimas 18 rodadas, pode deixar a zona de classificação para a Copa Libertadores do ano que vem – o principal objetivo do clube nesta temporada.

أعلن معتمد جمال المدير الفني لنادي الزمالك، عن تشكيل فريقه لمواجهة اليوم أمام ساجرادا الأنجولي، ضمن منافسات بطولة كأس الكونفدرالية الإفريقية.

الزمالك يلاقي نظيره ساجرادا على أرضية استاد 11 نوفمبر، في إطار مواجهات الجولة الرابعة لمباريات دور المجموعات للمسابقة القارية.

ويتواجد فريقا الزمالك وساجرادا في المجموعة الثانية ببطولة الكونفدرالية، التي تضم إلى جوارهما فريقي سوار كوياه الغيني وأبو سليم الليبي.

ويحتل الزمالك المركز الأول في جدول ترتيب المجموعة الثانية برصيد 9 نقاط، بعد أن حقق العلامة الكاملة في الـ3 مباريات الأولى، كما سجل لاعبوه 6 أهداف ولم يستقبل أبناء القلعة البيضاء أي أهداف.

Former West Indies fast bowler Wes Hall was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame during the lunch break on the opening day of the Sabina Park Test between West Indies and Australia. He became the fourth cricketer to receive the honour this year after Betty Wilson, Anil Kumble and Martin Crowe.Hall, 77, received his commemorative cap from fellow Hall of Famer Courtney Walsh, and is now the 18th cricketer from the Caribbean to be bestowed with the award.Hall, who played 48 Tests for West Indies between 1958 and 1969, said he was “privileged” and “honoured” to receive the award which put him in the company of the “many greats of the game”.”Anytime you get these kind of encomiums, it is memorable,” he said. “It is fantastic to receive the award in the West Indies and in front of adoring fans, which makes it even more special. I have represented the West Indies as a cricketer, as the team manager, and as the President of the WICB, so I will treat this as something I value and will always remember.”Cricket has been extremely good to me and I was happy to give back to the game. This honour, presented to me by the ICC, is one I will cherish. It is not just for me but for the people of the West Indies.”Hall took 192 Test wickets at an average of 26.38. Overall, he played 170 first-class matches, collecting 546 wickets. He picked up a five-for on nine occasions in Tests, including 5 for 63 in the second innings of the famous tied Test against Australia in Brisbane in 1960, where he bowled the last over of the match with the hosts needing six runs with three wickets in hand.During the 1958-59 tour of India and Pakistan, Hall took 46 wickets from eight matches. In the third Test against Pakistan in Lahore, he became the first West Indies bowler to claim an international hat-trick.After retirement, he become an ordained minister as well as the Minister of Tourism and Sports in the Barbados government. Hall also managed the West Indies touring sides and in 2001, took over as the president of the WICB. In 2012, he was knighted in the Queen’s birthday honours list for his “services to sport and the community”.

An astonishing onslaught by Steven Crook and Rory Kleinveldt set up Northants Steelbacks to beat NatWest T20 Blast North Group leaders Worcestershire Rapids by two runs at New Road.The eighth-wicket pair thrashed 62 from 3.1 overs before Kleinveldt was caught on the straight boundary from the last ball of the Steelbacks innings after hitting six sixes in a match-turning 42 from 12 deliveries.Having lifted the Steelbacks to a formidable 193 for 8, the South African led the next phase with the first-ball dismissal of Moeen Ali before the Rapids were held to 191 for 6 as they narrowly failed to extend a three-match winning run.Insights

In a tightly fought match Kleinveldt and Crook’s assault can be seen to be the difference between the two teams. While Worcestershire are a strong team who should push for a top four finish they may rue the absence of a high quality death bowler this season. Most counties in the country have one but Worcestershire generally seem a little short. They’ll hope that Saeed Ajmal’s quality in the middle-overs can make up for it, but as Luke Wright showed in Bristol any total at the death is gettable and teams need bowlers who can defend them.

Moeen’s exit capped a night of mishaps for England players. The Pakistan government has constituted a three-member security delegation, headed by a senior director of the Federal Investigation Agency, to assess the security arrangements for the Pakistan men and women’s team in India for the upcoming World T20. The security team left for India on Monday and will take a final call by Wednesday.*The government had initially granted the PCB permission to play in India, but the board has decided to put the visit on hold until they are guaranteed foolproof security. The PCB’s move was prompted after the Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh had expressed his state government’s difficulty in providing security for the India-Pakistan match in Dharamsala, scheduled for March 19.Chaudhry Nisar Khan, Pakistan’s interior minister, told a press gathering in Islamabad that the three-member team comprises Usman Anwar of the FIA, a PCB official and an official from the Pakistan High Commission in India. He said that it is the responsibility of the Indian government to ensure security of the Pakistan team, as the World T20 is an international tournament.”I have asked the PCB chairman to wait, and the team can wait until the security clearance is assured,” Nisar Khan said. “We can delay our team’s departure till we are sure that they will be safe in India.”If the security team’s initial report is positive, our cricket team will leave for India as per schedule on Wednesday otherwise we may delay the team’s departure. Muita correria e pouca qualidade. A etapa inicial foi sofrível e quase nenhuma oportunidade era criada dentro das quatro linhas.

A reconquista da Amèrica, após 38 anos do feito do time de Zico & Cia., tambèm dará ao Flamengo a chance de disputar a Recopa Sul-Americana em 2020. O rival será o Independiente Del Valle, do Equador, que foi campeão da Sul-Americana em cima do Colón, da Argentina, em decisao única em Assunção, no Paraguai.

A Conmebol ainda não definiu a data da Recopa, disputada em jogos de ida, no Equador, e volta, no Rio de Janeiro. Neste ano, Athletico e River Plate decidiram a Recopa com duas partidas em maio, com os Millionarios conquistando o título após a derrota, por 1 a 0, em Curitiba, e a vitória, por 3 a 0, em Buenos Aires.

O LANCE! ouviu da Conmebol que a Recopa Sul-Americana de 2020, entre Flamengo e Independiente Del Valle, tende a ser realizada no primeiro semestre.

Ao todo, o Flamengo disputará seis campeonatos em 2020:Carioca, Copa do Brasil, Libertadores, Supercopa do Brasil, Recopa Sul-Americana e Brasileirão.
