Um dia após a conquista do Campeonato Paulista e de marcar o gol de seu time na segunda partida da final, na Arena Corinthians, o atacante Romero foi à sala de imprensa para conceder a entrevista coletiva como novo herói corintiano. Mais do que adaptado ao clube e ao país, ele falou aos jornalistas do bom momento que vive e deixa as críticas de lado.

– É normal em um time grande como o Corinthians, as críticas vêm e estou preparado para isso. Só trabalho para mim, para melhorar, e para meu time. Se vou agradar a imprensa e torcida, fica em segundo plano. Quero trabalhar para o Corinthians, para meu treinador. Tenho um treinador que confia em mim e estou muito grato a ele. Quero aumentar minhas marcas no Corinthians com títulos, gols, ganhar coisas importantes – declarou.

O estilo de jogo do paraguaio divide opiniões entre torcedores e críticos do esportes, no entanto essas opiniões convergem quando o assunto é entrega dentro de campo e nesse quesito, é difícl argumentar contra o jogador, mas ele admite que os gols são prioridade em sua função.

– Minha característica é essa. No Paraguai eu também corria muito, de não ter bola perdida. Encaixei muito bem no Corinthians porque a torcida gosta de quem corre os 90 minutos. Eu queria isso, mas não tinha sequência de jogos. Hoje que estou tendo essa sequência, trato de fazer isso a cada dia. A torcida gosta, vem junto, fico feliz por isso. Mas, como atacante, tenho de fazer gols. Agora estou conseguindo voltar para defender, ajudar o time, e também fazer os gols. Meu trabalho aqui tem de ser esse, fazer gol – afirmou.

Romero não esconde que deve ao seu treinador, Fabio Carille, boa parte dos momentos que tem vivido no Corinthians. Como ele mesmo havia dito na resposta anterior, a sequência de jogos fez a diferença, assim como a confiança de seu comandante.

– A confiança é sempre importante, ele passou essa confiança de que precisava. A sequência de jogos foi muito boa, pude aproveitar. Ele falou que me daria chances. Eu queria agarrar isso e ficar como titular. Está dando certo, bem encaminhado. Ganhamos um título. Mas ainda não acabou o ano. É muito bom ver a briga por posição no nosso grupo, tem jogadores de qualidade – disse.

Embora o momento seja de comemoração e elogios, não há muito tempo para estender os festejos, nesta quarta-feira o Timão enfrenta a Universidad do Chile pela Copa Sul-Americana. Com viagem marcada para Santiago já nesta terça-feira, é hora de mudar a chave e pensar no torneio sul-americano e também no Brasileirão.

– Sempre vamos manter essa humildade que é nossa característica. Vamos fazer a mesma coisa que estamos fazendo. Manter sempre o trabalho, o treino, com muita vontade. Todo mundo treinando sério. Isso foi muito bom e muito legal no Paulista, mas agora começa outro campeonato. Totalmente diferente, times mais competitivos, tem de ganhar fora de casa. Falta muito ainda para sermos um time mais forte, temos de entrar focados nos próximos campeonatos. Sul-Americana e Brasileiro, temos um jogo difícil na quarta e outro no sábado – finalizou.

A delegação do Corinthians chega ao Chile nesta terça-feira, às 12h35 e treina no Estádio Nacional do Chile, às 19h30 para reconhecimento do gramado e últimos ajustes para a partida contra a Universidad, na quarta-feira, às 21h45.

وأضاف: “يتبقى في عقدي 3 سنوات ومجلس إدارة نادي الاتحاد السكندري هو من سيحسم مصيري”.

وأتم: “لا أعرف إذا كان هناك عروض وصلت لنادي الاتحاد السكندري أم لا”.

ويحتل فريق الاتحاد المركز الثاني عشر في سلم ترتيب بطولة الدوري المصري الممتاز برصيد 25 نقطة.

Os jogadores do Cruzeiro saíram satisfeitos com o empate por 1 a 1 diante do Sport, nesta noite de domingo, pela segunda rodada do Brasileirão. Alisson marcou o gol para os mineiros, mas Diego Souza deixou tudo igual para os pernambucanos. No final da partida, os jogadores da Raposa valorizaram o empate fora de casa.

– Jogando fora de casa, temos que ter sempre esse objetivo, de trazer pontos para casa. A gente poderia ter conquistado a vitória. Mas foi um resultado importante, jogamos para vencer e isso é importante – comentou Henrique.

Depois de abri o placar no primeiro tempo, Alisson teve duas ótimas oportunidades de dar a vitória ao Cruzeiro. Porém, o atacante parou em duas ótimas defesas do goleiro Magrão no final do jogo. Apesar disso, o jogador valorizou a entrega do time.

– O Magrão foi feliz. Tentei virar o pé para tirar dele, pois tinha muita gente na frente. Mas estão todos de parabéns. Sabíamos das dificuldades de jogar aqui. Agora é ter uma ótima semana de trabalho e descansar para fazer um grande jogo contra o Santos – disse.

Em sua entrevista coletiva, o técnico Mano Menezes elogiou a postura do time no segundo tempo. Apesar de não ter alcançado o gol da vitória, o time se comportou melhor, inverteu o cenário negativo do primeiro tempo e terminou o jogo em alta, controlando a partida.

– Eu gostaria que o Cruzeiro jogasse sempre como jogou no segundo tempo. Mas não vai ser sempre assim, do outro lado tem equipes que dificultam o jogo. No primeiro tempo nós saímos do jogo, precisamos melhorar isso. No segundo tempo, fica claro a importância do Ariel para a equipe, controlamos o jogo, empurramos o Sport, rodamos a bola e todos os jogadores começaram a crescer. According to Football Insider, Huggins is extremely close to sealing a permanent move to Sunderland, with his medical taking place on Thursday morning after the two clubs agreed terms on a deal.

The 20-year-old only signed a new Whites contract last December, but it appears as though Bielsa has U-turned and sees no long-term future for him at the club.

The Verdict: Right time to leave

At 20, Huggins will no doubt be keen to enjoy regular playing time and that wasn’t going to come his way at Leeds.

With Firpo coming in as the Whites’ new first-choice left-back, and Leif Davis a strong long-term option, it is hard to see where he would fit in.

Huggins will hope to become a key man at a Sunderland side amongst the favourites to be promoted from League One this season, forging a strong career for himself away from Leeds.

It is not yet clear if there is a buy-back or sell-on clause in the deal, but one would have to assume Orta would be clever enough to add something along those lines.

Juventus were said to be interested in the forward earlier in the summer and it would not have been a surprise to see him depart in order to raise funds in a potential deal for Kane, but after his superb performance at the weekend, it seems clear that Guardiola wants to keep him at the Etihad.

Although there is no doubting his talent, the Brazilian clearly lacks the goalscoring instinct of a top striker, with Guardiola preferring Ferran Torres through the middle in the games so far this season.

Whilst he previously was a source of frustration for City fans playing as a striker, Jesus was able to showcase his ability on the ball against the Canaries when playing out wide, and looked like a completely new player.

With the possible abandonment of Sri Lanka’s tour of England next year, Kevin Pietersen is just one high-profile player who could reap the financial benefits by appearing in the IPL. In an interview with Cricinfo last week, the England captain – who has yet to play in the IPL or its unsanctioned cousin, the ICL – spoke openly about his stance on cricket’s most lucrative, if divisive, tournament.Asked whether he would accept a deal with an IPL franchise should one come calling, Pietersen said: “Yes. I think it’s just a natural progression. The benefiting factor for me as England captain is that the last few days we’ve sat down and talked about the Twenty World Cup next year which we want to try and win. And I want as many of our guys playing the format as possible.”To play in the IPL means they’ll get experience and really learn their skills, play with different players, and I think that’ll be hugely beneficial. Five or six games out in India [in the IPL] will be brilliant for their experience, so for me as captain, it’s encouraging to know they’ll have more games under their belt.”For all the money involved, and the worthy justification of using tournaments such as the IPL as a warm-up for the Twenty20 World Cup, Pietersen was adamant his foremost interest lay with England. “We want to win every game we play for England,” he said. “We’re playing for the badge and we want to win.”
