Após diversas polêmicas no jogo de ida das quartas de final da Copa do Brasil, o Athletico entrou com ofício no Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva (STJD) nesta quinta-feira. No documento, a equipe paranaense cobra punições a Gabigol e Arrascaeta em lances polêmicos. A arbitragem da partida foi liderada por Luiz Flávio de Oliveira.

Os jogadores do Flamengo receberam apenas o cartão amarelo durante a partida após entradas duras contra jogadores do Furacão. No entanto, o clube paranaense entende que os lances eram para vermelho e tenta punições graves aos rubro-negros. O árbitro Luiz Flávio de Oliveira, inclusive, foi afastado pela Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) por conta da performance na partida.

“O Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva do Futebol recebeu na tarde desta quinta, dia 28 de julho, Notícia de Infração do Athletico Paranaense contra os atletas Gabriel Barbosa, Arrascaeta e o Flamengo por condutas praticadas no primeiro duelo da Copa do Brasil. No documento, o Athletico pede a punição de Gabi pela agressão praticada em Fernandinho, a punição de Arrascaeta por entrada violenta no adversário Erick e pede ainda a punição do clube em que os atletas são vinculados. A Notícia foi encaminhada para a Procuradoria da Justiça Desportiva.

Juntando vídeos e matérias jornalísticas o Athletico/PR ingressou com Notícia de Infração denunciando as condutas dos atletas do Flamengo que não foram punidas em campo pelo árbitro Luiz Flávio de Oliveira. O Athletico destaca que as infrações praticadas são graves e descreve os lances dos atletas.

“Aos 40” da primeira etapa, o atleta nº 09 do Flamengo, Gabriel Barbosa, ora Noticiado, puxava contra-ataque do seu campo de defesa. Ao se deparar com a marcação do atleta nº 05 do Athletico, Fernandinho, ele recua a bola para seu companheiro e tenta partir para o campo de ataque, mas o corpo de Fernandinho está à sua frente e Gabriel, então, não consegue seguir adiante, devido ao choque.

Irritado, Gabriel, já fora do lance, agrediu o seu adversário, Fernandinho, mediante um chute com sua perna esquerda, que atingiu também a perna esquerda de seu oponente”, narrou o clube sobre Gabriel Barbosa.

“Já aos 45″ da segunda etapa, quando o atleta nº 26 do Athletico, Erick, partia em velocidade para um contra-ataque da equipe visitante, De Arrascaeta, atleta nº 14 do Flamengo, promove um carrinho com a sola da chuteira do seu pé direito sobre o tornozelo direito de seu oponente, sem, em momento algum, objetivar a bola. Há uma fase de voo, por trás, sem chance de defesa para Erick”, explicou sobre a conduta de Arrascaeta.

Em campo o árbitro aplicou amarelo aos atletas do Flamengo. Mas, no entendimento do Athletico, Gabriel e Arrascaeta deveriam ter sido expulsos por agressão e jogada violenta, respectivamente.

Nesse sentido, entendendo que ambos os casos se amoldam ao tipo previsto no artigo 58-B que trata de denúncias baseadas em prova de vídeo por notório equívoco a aplicação da decisão do árbitro, o clube paranaense pede a denúncia de Gabriel Barbosa no artigo 254-A por agressão e de Arrascaeta por no artigo 254 por praticar jogada violenta.

O artigo 254-A prevê suspensão mínima de quatro partidas e que pode chegar até 12 jogos, enquanto o artigo 254 a pena pode variar entre uma e seis partidas.

Além disso, o Athletico pede ainda o oferecimento de denúncia contra o Flamengo, clube em que estão vinculados os atletas, nos termos do artigo 258-D.

Artigo 258-D – As penalidades de suspensão decorrentes das infrações previstas neste capítulo poderão ser cumuladas com a aplicação e multa de até R$ 10 mil.

O pedido foi encaminhado e será analisado pela Procuradoria da Justiça Desportiva.”

Everton have produced plenty of superstars from their academy in recent years, but one of the most talented is certainly Ross Barkley. The Merseysider made 179 appearances for his boyhood club, scoring 27 goals and grabbing 25 assists in that time.

The Liverpool-born star had some standout seasons in that famous Blue shirt before his move to Chelsea in 2018. However, perhaps the most iconic was the 2015/16 campaign, where he scored and assisted 23 goals in 48 games.

Replacing the academy graduate has been tough for the Toffees, but perhaps they have the next version of Barkley brewing, someone who could challenge Carlos Alcaraz in that number ten berth.

When Everton could sign Alcaraz permanently

One of Everton’s key January signings over the winter was attacking midfielder Alcaraz. After getting a taste of the Premier League a few seasons back with Southampton, he joined the Toffees on loan until the end of the season.

One of the curious things about this deal was the buy clause that was included. Whilst it is undisputable that Everton can make the move permanent, there was initial confusion over whether it was merely an option or obligation to buy the Flamengo man.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano did reveal earlier this week, however, that the January arrival will sign permanently once he plays five more games for the Toffees, with the fee set at €18m (£15m).

His start to life at Goodison Park has been strong. He has played seven games so far, scoring and assisting one apiece. Both of those goal involvements came away from home against Crystal Palace, in a 2-1 victory.

Alcaraz has certainly made a good impression so far in that famous Blue shirt, although the club may have someone else waiting in the academy who could be this generation’s Barkley.

Everton’s next Ross Barkley

Just as Barkley came through the Toffees academy under Moyes, the Scot might well be able to repeat the masterclass by bringing young midfielder Harrison Armstrong into the first team.

The 18-year-old has already played six games at the senior level for the club, all of which came this season, but perhaps Moyes can look to really help him become an established member of the side.

Just like Barkley, the midfielder was born in Liverpool and is a graduate of the Everton academy. He is currently out on loan at Derby County, where he has actually played as a defensive midfielder, despite even playing as a striker for the Toffees’ first team.

The England under-18 international has played seven times for the Rams since his January loan move, scoring one goal against Plymouth Argyle, which was a stunning volley from outside of the box.

He wrapped his foot around the ball and bent his shot into the bottom right corner.

Statistically, the Everton loanee has impressed for Derby. Although he is only a short way into his career at Pride Park, the 18-year-old already has standout metrics. Jake Barker, a Derby supporter, podcast host and pundit, described him as a “special” player.

Armstrong has shown just how good he can be creatively. As per Sofascore, he averages 0.7 key passes per game. He has also been excellent off the ball. For example, he averages 2.1 interceptions per 90 minutes.

Everton fans can certainly get excited about Armstrong. Although the 18-year-old has been playing deeper than he has for the Toffees, he has shown excellent adaptability and could certainly perform well in a more advanced role, too.

Regardless of the impact that Alcaraz may make this season and beyond, the Toffees could well consider the teenage midfielder to be their new version of Barkley; the similarities and quality are there for all to see.

Northern Diamonds maintained their 100 percent start to the 2023 Charlotte Edwards Cup with a three-run victory over Central Sparks at Edgbaston.With both sides having won their first game, something had to give and it was Diamonds who preserved their perfect record thanks principally to an impressive bowling display.Put in, Diamonds were bowled out for 135, far less than looked likely when they were motoring nicely along at 73 for 1 in the ninth over. The fall of Leah Dobson for 41 off 25 balls was the first of nine wickets to fall for 62 runs in 67 balls as Georgia Davis bowled her off-spin beautifully for 4-0-13-3, well-supported by Emily Arlott and Erin Burns who took two wickets each.The total looked a little under par but Sparks fell just short on 132 for 7 after their batters never escaped the shackles imposed at the start by accurate opening spells from Lizzie Scott and Katherine Fraser. Chloe Tryon bounced back from conceding 11 in her first over to take three vital wickets and end with 3 for 30.Only Eve Jones and Arlott passed 25 as tight bowling and a sluggish, used-pitch combined to make run-scoring difficult.After Sparks chose to bowl, they soon struck a big blow when Lauren Winfield-Hall lifted the seventh ball of the innings, from Arlott, to extra cover.Dobson and Hollie Armitage responded positively and raised the 50 from 37 balls. Their well-constructed stand stood at 68 from 43 balls when Davis bowled Dobson through an attempted leg-side flick.That wicket started a big slide as four fell for 19 runs in 23 balls. A discussão do projeto de lei que envolvia o tombamento da pista de atletismo era o 10º assunto da pauta do dia e nem chegou a ser lido e tocado pelos responsáveis do Senado presentes no local por não ter chegado a vez.

No encontro, ficou combinado que o Botafogo, portanto, está autorizado a realizar as tão sonhadas obras no Estádio Nilton Santos para acabar com a pista de atletismo, criar novas arquibancadas e, assim, aproximar os torcedores do campo.

Por outro lado, o Glorioso terá que ajudar financeiramente na revitalização da pista do Célio de Barros, palco de atletismo localizado perto do Maracanã, e vai reabrir a pista do campo anexo do Estádio Nilton Santos.
