O duelo começou equilibrado em São Januário, com o Vasco tentando impor o seu ritmo de jogo por estar em casa. No entanto, foi o Internacional que teve a primeira chance de abrir o placar. Aos 2, Vitinho cruzou para Cleberson, que chegou com perigo e finalizou, mas Fintelman defendeu. No rebote, Vinícius Mello não aproveitou a chance e perdeu um gol feito.

Vasco reage, mas Colorado assusta
O primeiro tempo não apresentou muitas chances de ambos os lados. Mas os Meninos da Colina chegaram depois de uma cobrança de escanteio.Anthoni saiu muito mal do gol, e Menezes cabeceou para o meio da área. Após corta de defesa, Marcos Paulo mandou de cabeça por cima da meta. Aos 40, Pedrinho foi para a cobrança de falta e quase marcou para o Colorado. Fintelman fez ótima defesa e salvou o Cruz-Maltino.

Na etapa final, o Cruz-Maltino tentava fazer triangulações e chegar ao gol adversário, mas pecava na criação. Em uma jogada de contra-ataque, Arthur Sales observou Anthoni adiantando e emendou do meio-campo. A bola viajou e passou com perigo por cima da meta colorada. Fábio Matias, técnico da equipe gaúcha, apostou em Matheus Cadorini, e o centroavante correspondeu com maestria. Pedrinho lançou Vinícius Tobias, que cruzou na medida, para o camisa 18 empurrar para a rede.

Gaúchos quase ampliam
Após o Inter abrir o placar, o jogo ficou mais aberto, porém os gaúchos tiveram duas chances de ampliar. Aos 33, Estevão deu um bom passe para Cadorini, que chutou cruzado para grande defesa de Fintelman. No minuto seguinte. João Félix cruzou e Cadorini acertou o travessão. No fim, o Vasco tentou empatar, pressionou, mas não conseguiu furar o bloqueio colorado.

Mumbai opener Prithvi Shaw is likely to return to the squad as early as November 16, a day after his suspension for a doping violation ends. Shaw is expected to turn out for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the domestic T20 tournament.On July 30, Shaw had been handed a back-dated eight-month suspension by the BCCI for “inadvertently” consuming a cough syrup that contained the prohibited substance terbutaline.The violation had taken place during the last Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which was played between February and March this year. The BCCI had said that Shaw would need to serve at least half the ban period, and that expires on November 15.Shaw, who grabbed headlines with a century in his debut Test last October, has been training mainly at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru during his suspension. While accepting the BCCI ban, Shaw had said that he would return “faster and stronger” because cricket was “my life”, and there was “no greater pride than playing for India and Mumbai”.Now, Mumbai are providing Shaw that opportunity. Former Mumbai captain Milind Rege, who is the chairman of that state’s ad-hoc selectors’ panel, said that Shaw would “certainly” be considered for selection. Currently, Rege’s panel has announced the squad only for Mumbai’s first three matches because key players like Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur and Shivam Dube are part of the India squad for the T20I series against Bangladesh. Nearly four years on from his move to Villa Park, the defender has gone on to achieve remarkable things with Cash now a prevalent figure for the Poland national team and for the West Midlands side under boss Unai Emery.

The now 26-year-old has since made 136 appearances for Villa, with the right-back also winning the Player of the Season award in his second full term with the club.

He's since been the subject of interest from Spanish side Atlético Madrid, with the defender's market value taking a sharp upturn since his move from Forest.

The Polish full-back is now worth £24m as per Transfermarkt, a figure that is £2.5m more than Forest's current young talent, Murillo, who is currently valued at £21.5m according to the same source.

Given his rapid rise, the Reds must regret selling him for as little as £14m – with Cash now an established full-back in the Premier League.

The club undoubtedly had to sell him to comply with FFP rules, but the club must hold some regret with Cash being the perfect fit in Nuno Espírito Santo's current system.

His energetic playstyle and ability to create chances down the Reds' right-hand side would be perfect under Nuno, with the 26-year-old an upgrade on current full-back Neco Williams.

It's a situation that those at Goodison Park will likely have to become familiar with too, according to finance expert Kieran Maguire, who told via Inews when quizzed about the likelihood of Everton being handed a second deduction that it's "pretty inevitable".

So, even if the Toffees avoid the drop this season, they are seemingly likely to have their backs instantly against the wall at the start of the next campaign. But there is still some good news among the negatives.

According to Inews, Everton's takeover by 777 Partners is set to be accepted by the Premier League in the next couple of weeks. This will end an incredibly long wait for the news many thought would come far sooner after Farhad Moshiri reached an agreement over the sale of the club all the way back in September. Now, seven months later, Everton are reportedly finally about to see the takeover given the green light.

The sudden news comes after 777 proved to the Premier League that they could pay back Everton's £150m loan from MSP Sports Capital and fund the finish of the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

Everton must still approach with caution

With another point deduction described as "pretty inevitable" by Maguire, Everton must still approach with caution in the summer transfer market. The last thing they need is to be walking a fine line with the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules once again, especially considering that they're on course to maintain their top-flight status in the current campaign.

That said, it could be a summer of departures at Goodison Park. Amadou Onana has been the subject of reported interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United in the last few months in a big-money deal that would ease some of Everton's FFP fears. Meanwhile, Jarrad Branthwaite has even attracted the interest of Real Madrid, according to reports.

Large sales would impact Dyche's side, there's no doubt about that, but it could be a case of needs must if Everton are to balance the books at last. If they then spend that money from the sales wisely, then 777 will be able to hand Dyche a squad capable of survival once again, even if Everton face another frustrating deduction. Either way, the takeover is at least on its way in what is surely the first big step in the right direction.

No trabalho da semana a gente cobrou muito achar os jogadores por dentro porque sabia que o adversário tem uma certa fragilidade, até porque os números comprovavam isso – disse Chamusca em entrevista coletiva.

Ainda é cedo, mas Chamusca parece ter se aproximado do equilíbrio e ter encontrado a espinha dorsal do Glorioso.
